So I wrote something. It's been such a long time and I hadn't imagined writing again, if I'm going to be honest.

But 1.27 of The OC broke me in ways that I thought only Joss and JJ could do, and I adored Kirsten so much that this just kinda came out.

Mostly gen, but a very slight mention of Jimmy/Kirsten.

I think it's pretty obvious to all and sundry that I've been neglecting the poor LJ of late.

I'm probably not going to be updating too much from now on, except to post fic (if I can actually get off my ass and do some), so this is the obligatory 'defriend at will' 'get out of jail free card' post.

Okay, so The Olympics have really warped my brain and I'm completely obsessed with the swimmers and the slashiness and... yes.

Okay, so I've been working on this for a while through patches of fairly scary writer's block and it's finally finished.

A while back,

nyn posted her outstanding Lance/Angel ficlets, here, here, here, here, and here. They are amazing pieces and they got stuck in my brain. I got to thinking about how Lance could interact with someone else in the Buffyverse who'd been in the same position, someone who also allowed himself to be fed from. And how addictive that can be.

So I talked to

nyn and she was kind enough to allow me to take the history she'd created and put my own spin on it. I hope it does her justice.
